Moms Deserve A Break In Jamaica Too!

  • Jamaica Getaway for Moms

Break in jamaica – Moms have a lot going on.

Moms deserve a break in Jamaica! After ensuring refrigerators (and tummies) are full. Keeping track of doctor appointments and soccer practices. Matching lonely socks with their mates… every single morning.

All while juggling other life responsibilities like careers and caring for older family members.

Then, when it’s time for moms to take a much-deserved vacation, they’re often the ones to pack the suitcases for the kids, check lists, gather travel documents – not to mention compare prices and book plane tickets, accommodations, and rental cars…

As they’re putting in the hard work of booking vacations – and especially choosing a place to stay – moms are often concerned with the needs of everyone else in the group.

Does the accommodation fit our budget? Will the kids have activities to keep them busy? Is there enough space? Will we feel safe and taken care of?

At Jamaica Ocean View Villa, we have a “radical” idea: Shouldn’t moms also choose a vacation that fits their idea of an incredible getaway?

What Moms Wants On Vacation

Believe it or not, it is possible to find an accommodation that both addresses the practical concerns of family vacations and takes into consideration that it’s mom’s trip, too.

Here are some suggestions for what we think moms should ask for…or, rather, demand. She deserves it!:

  • A chef to prepare meals for the group so she doesn’t have to.
  • A housekeeper to save her from the dishes and other household chores.
  • Peace-of-mind – moms should be able to relax knowing their kids are safe!
  • An authentic experience.
  • Beach time.
  • Cold drinks, served poolside.
  • Someone to watch the kids while she enjoys some quiet time, either with her spouse or alone.
  • Space to sneak away for a quiet moment (with a good book, perhaps?)

Is that really so much to ask? We don’t think so.

Accommodation Options in Jamaica

Here in Ochos Rios, Jamaica, accommodation options include both all-inclusive resorts/hotels and the newer and more innovative vacation rental market.

All-inclusives are appealing for busy moms: they don’t have to worry about cooking, cleaning, or safety concerns while they’re on vacation. But the resorts don’t offer much space. The rooms can be small and there’s nowhere to go beyond the borders of the resort grounds (unless you take a planned excursion).

Vacation rentals, on the other hand, tend to be much more spacious, which makes them perfect for multi-family getaways. They’re often located in more high-end residential areas near activities and places where locals gather, which lessens that “walled-off” feeling of the resorts.

But what do vacation rentals mean for moms? There’s a kitchen…will she be expected to cook? Housekeeping isn’t automatically included…who will make the beds?

Rest assured: many Jamaica vacation rentals – like the Jamaica Ocean View Villa – guests boast their own full staff of hospitality professionals who are focused on them, not on an entire resort’s worth of travelers.

These staff members will cook meals for the family, make sure the rental stays spotless… even keep an eye on the kids while moms take some much needed me-time!

It’s the best of both worlds… in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

What about budget?

Often, those traveling with larger groups will actually save money by booking a villa over a resort or hotel room. Rather than reserving a block of rooms and paying for rooms separately, guests can pool their money and all contribute to the flat nightly rate of a vacation rental.

Moms: If you’re coming to Jamaica, book a vacation that thrills them – and you.   Check out Jamaica Ocean View Villa for a highly rated accommodation option designed for you!
